Bonda Cafe

Years ago when we were living in London, the Mara House on Sussex Garden, near Paddington Station is one of our favourite place. It's basically a hostel for Mara students in London; and I should add the lucky ones as it is not easy to get a place there. While not a Mara student, we had a lot of friends under Mara and some were staying there. Another attraction of Mara House is in the basement where a cafe is located. Known as Nahar Cafe, our favourites there used to be the Garlic Chicken and also the Banana Fritters with Ice-cream dessert.

Last night we made our way there looking for Nahar Cafe and we found Bonda Cafe instead. The menu is varied and the service is friendly. However, it was slow which seems to be due to only having one waitress there doing...well everything from order taking, serving and a cashier.

We had Mee Kari, Mee Goreng Mamak, Nasi Goreng and Kuew Tiaw Goreng. The food was not bad at all and the Kopi Malaysia was really good. Unfortunately, the wait for the food was VERY long which makes us think twice of going there again. Over the coming years, we most likely will be there again....we usually give another chance if the food is okay.
