The best thing about London (and overseas in general, with some obvious exceptions) is that those famous and can't-do-without fastfood joints like Mc Donald's, KFC and gang are simply cannot-do-with. It's unlikely for anyone to find halal versions of those well-known restaurants here (though in the UK, there are actually some halal KFC's).
However, fret not. There are a lot of southern style fried chicken restaurants that are halal. Most of these will also have barbeque lamb-ribs (very nice) and burgers and the lots. After a few weeks here we decided to try one of these. Southern Fried Chicken located on Salusbury Road and a short walk from the Queens Park tube station offers great food at good value. We can have a nice meal for the whole family for less than 20 pounds.
