Malaysia Hall Canteen

We managed to find the Malaysia Hall Canteen on our first day here. Went there for lunch and....I missed the old Malaysia Hall in Bryanston Square. The new one is quite small in comparison but still has it's charm. It quite tricky to find and in my view the Queensway tube station is a better stop compared to Bayswater. Queensborough Terrace where it's located on is best access from the Hyde Park end as it's a shorter walk.

There's also a sign that says it's only for Malaysians and their quest which I think is a good idea. With the prices of food here, it would have been a favourite haunts for a lot of people otherwise.

The set meals are still around but with choices of 1, 2 or 3 dishes (+ vegies) at GBP2.50, 3.40 and 3.90 respectively. On top of these, you can also get the 'special' dishes that are individually priced. Drinks can be ordered separately or just go for the free sirap or plain water.

Service is fast and friendly and while it's a bit small compared to the old one, we did not have problem getting a table for 5.
